Self-Isolation
If a child tests positive for Covid-19 or a child is advised to self-isolate by Track and Trace, children should self-isolate for 10 days. You may be able to leave self-isolation after 7 days if certain conditions are met. Read more about how long to self-isolate.
Children under 18 years are not required to isolate if another member of the household has tested positive, however it is strongly recommended, even if you do not have symptoms, to:
- do daily rapid lateral flow tests (1 a day for 7 days), to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 - find out more about daily testing on GOV.UK
- follow advice on how to avoid catching and spreading COVID-19
- consider limiting contact with people who are at higher risk from COVID-19

All children, providing they are well, will be expected to participate daily in remote learning for all subjects at home, as set out in the government guidance. Children will have meaningful and ambitious work each day in a number of different subjects. Learning completed by children will be of equivalent length to the teaching & learning time pupils would receive in school.
This learning will be online activities set via ClassDojo. This will vary, depending on the age of the child/children.
If you would like to borrow a school device (tablet / laptop) to access the learning and/or a wireless router to access the internet, please let school know when you inform them of your child's absence.
When you contact school to inform us that your child / children are self-isolating, please confirm if you would like to borrow a device for online learning and/or a wireless router to access the internet. This will be learning that is set online and either completed online or on your own paper and uploaded.

We will check in with you at least once to make sure everything is ok and answer any questions. In between this, email your child’s teacher or a member of SLT with any questions.
